The Alamo Colleges District, Office of Workplace Learning needed several promotional videos to promote internship opportunities with regional companies to their prospective students via their social media marketing efforts.

The OWL needed a video series showcasing the process of exploring career fields through paid employment at local companies, non-profit organizations, and government agencies.

The Creative Process

  • Step 1.

    Concept Development

    We wanted to capture first-hand testimonials from students who could gain career-relevant skills, knowledge, and experience through various experiential learning opportunities outside of the classroom.

  • Step 2.

    Pre-Production

    Our production team developed a storyboard and script, and set up interviews with students who have gone through the program and those who could benefit from such a program.

    Video Production

    We recorded all on-camera interviews and B-roll footage on location across the city, at the various Alamo Colleges campuses, to capture students during their internships.

  • Step 4.

    The Results

    We delivered two video spots (1:30 and :40) showing that relevant work experiences can be a meaningful part of the educational journey. Students talked about how they learned about career opportunities, helped the community, and developed professional relationships to establish their networks by applying textbook knowledge to real-world problems through the experiential programs at the colleges.
