Hank’s Hops
Mark Koehler owns Hank’s Hops, named for his grandfather Hank Koehler, who inspects a vine in the greenhouse. They grow hops for local craft beers in southern Bexar County, though nearly all hops production is done in the Pacific Northwest. Mark stands among the vines, and the two pose in matching T-shirts outside an orange arched greenhouse building. A hop cone ripens on the vine, on assignment for the San Antonio Express-News.
