Cellist Ignacio Gallego and violist Marisa Bushman are married co-founders of the San Antonio chamber ensemble Agarita.

Most are environmental portraits made in San Antonio and nearby towns. Among them are San Antonio Food Bank president and CEO Eric Cooper, San Antonio Zoo CEO Tim Morrow and Xenex CEO Morris Miller. Chef Brooke Smith posed at The Esquire Tavern on the River Walk, and Rebel Mariposa at La Botanica on St. Mary’s Strip.
The sports portraits include Spurs guard Manu Ginobili screaming in profile and Madison High School quarterback Dante Heaggans against a blue sky. Photojournalism assignments took us to Fuerza Unida on the West Side and to Chato’s Gym with boxer Goyo Morales. The veterans include World War II veteran Reid Clanton and retired Air Force Lt. Col. George Alan Rose.
Event coverage ranges from dancers at the United San Antonio Pow Wow to SA Lights, the newspaper’s awards honoring local leaders. Fiesta celebrations include the King William Parade and a charreada.
