Home Rehab Program videos

Homeowners in the City of San Antonio Home Rehab Program choose the contractor that best meets their needs. The program is run by Neighborhood and Housing Services, which partners with local contractors on health, safety code and accessibility issues. We produced two videos for it: a one-minute program video and a 38-second homeowner story. The City of San Antonio is a repeat client, with 14 videos for three of its departments.

In the program video, the City and its contractors explain how it works. One speaker says the crews are made up of neighbors, whose skills have an impact from neighbor to neighbor. Another says being selected by a homeowner gives the company pride in being part of the community. It closes on one line: “I love the fact that I’m working with the community.”

Ms. Herrera’s own account is shorter: the program helped her with a walk-in shower, heating and air conditioning, a water heater and windows. Her family moved into the home shortly after she finished high school, and she says she feels safe and comfortable there. She wishes more people knew about the program.
