Día del Árbol is the City’s Texas Arbor Day celebration, held by City of San Antonio Parks and Recreation. There are vendors, activities and free trees for residents. We shot this two-minute event video on a Saturday and delivered it Monday morning. The City of San Antonio is a repeat client, with 14 videos across three of its departments.
Experts at the event teach the basics of tree care: plant it properly, then water it at least weekly for its first three years. The giveaways put trees in the yards of people who might not afford one, or wouldn’t otherwise think about one. Then come the favorite trees, from a catalpa in front of a grandparents’ yard to the desert willow that flowers all summer. One person picks the arabica coffee tree, “because coffee is what is keeping me going.”
The video ends on shade, which cuts summer cooling bills and lets kids play outside all year. If you plan a public event, a short recap like this lets you share the day long after it ends.
